Rose water can bring benefits to all skin types as it helps sooth, cool, sensitive and irritated skin to get overall balance, cleansing, rejuvenation, softening, toning and revitalization for a beautiful soft skin. Rose water is filled with anti-oxidants and various vitamins, therefore, it also helps to prevent the signs of ageing and nourish the skin. Rose water is one of the oldest skin care and grooming products. It is well-suited to be added in bathing water for a fragrant and relaxed bath. This is the sole reason why most of the cosmetics contain rose water. Hydrosols, also known as floral waters, hydroflorates, flower waters or distillates are products from steam distilling plant materials. Hydrosols are like essential oils but in far less of a concentration. When a distiller brews plant material with water in a large cooker the steam fills the pot and, as it rises, it causes the glands of the plants to burst and release the oils and essence of the plant into the steam. The oil rises through a condenser and collects in a separate vessel. This is what we know as essential oil, but what about all that fragrant water that was steamed with the original plant material? That is our hydrosol, or floral water.
- Rose water is renowned as one of the finest skin cleansers for the body.
- Soothing fragrance, Long lasting effect, Eco-friendliness
- Our hydrosols can be used in toners, creams, lotions, body sprays, room sprays and in place of water in most formulations. The hydrosol will impart both fragrance and therapeutic benefits to your products. Hydrosols are also wonderful when used as wetting agents in clay facials. Floral waters are an exceptional way to enjoy the benefits of essential oils in a water soluble product.
If applied to the face hydrolats should be diluted to 50% strength with purified water as they are dehydrating and will dry out the skin if used at full strength.
