Coriander essential oil is one of the lesser-known essential oils, derived by steam distilled seeds of the coriander plant. It is closely related to cilantro essential oil, which is derived from the leaves of the same plant. The aroma of coriander essential oil is slightly sweet whilst also being spicy and woody. Although it is mainly used as a cooking oil, coriander essential oil also has a range of numerous health benefits.

Using Aromatically

Diffusion: Using coriander oil in a diffuser will release the oil molecules around the home, making it one of the easiest ways to use coriander essential oil aromatically during your day-to-day routine. Use a good diffuser that diffuses in cool temperature or uses ultrasonic vibrations in order to diffuse the oil into the environment will ensure that the oil molecules to stay air-bound for as long as possible whilst not damaging them with heat.

 

  • Indirect Inhalation: Place a few drops of coriander essential oil on your pillowcase, a handkerchief, or a cotton ball in order to inhale it indirectly. To inhale, simply hold the item that you have put the oil on close to your face and breathe it in.
